Llanidan Community Council
There is evidence that humans have settled in the Community of Llanidan for many thousands of years. Notable local historic features include standing stones and burial chambers from the Neolithic period and pre-Roman Iron Age.
While agriculture remains important to the area, many residents were drawn to work at Dinorwig Quarry in the mid-ninenteenth century, taking advantage of the local ferry to the mainland.
By now the community hosts several attractions including the Sea Zoo and Foel Farm Park. The Menai straits at Brynsiencyn is the source of Anglesey Sea Salt.
